A tasting journal, with a sommelier in it
« yo bebo » — I drink. YoBebo keeps track of what you have drunk, what you thought of it, and what is still in the cellar — for wine, spirits and beer alike.
Open YoBeboHow your data is handled
What it does
- Photograph a label and it fills in the producer, vintage, region and grape for you.
- Log a tasting in your own words, with stars or on the 100-point scale — and if you are not sure how to score something, it will walk you through it the way a tasting course would.
- Ask Bebo. A sommelier that has actually read your journal, so “what should I open tonight?” and “is my palate too oaky?” are both fair questions.
- Photograph a restaurant wine list and get the two or three bottles on it you would most likely love, with where the value is.
- Keep a cellar and a wishlist without thinking about it — they are fields on a bottle, not separate chores.
- Share a link to your journal that stays current, and follow your friends’ links back.
It works offline, and the data is yours
Your journal is stored on your device first, so the app keeps working in a cellar with no signal. Signing in is optional and only adds one thing: a copy on the server so your phone and laptop agree. Export downloads everything as a file whenever you want it, no account required.
Who makes it
One person, as a personal project — not a company. It is free, there is no advertising, nothing is sold and there are no tracking scripts. The AI features cost real money to run, so they have a daily limit; if you would rather not share it, you can put your own API key in Settings and have no limit at all.
It is a work in progress
Features arrive often and bugs are possible. Use Export to keep your own backup — it is the one backup entirely under your control. If something is broken or missing, say so; that is the fastest way it gets fixed.
