These are the terms for using YoBebo. Plain language, because they should be readable.

The short version. YoBebo is free, personal and a work in progress. Your notes are yours. Do not rely on it for anything that matters to your health, and drink responsibly.

What this is

YoBebo is a free tasting journal for wine, spirits and beer, run by one person as a personal project. It is not a company, there is no paid plan and there is no support commitment.

You must be of legal drinking age

By using YoBebo you confirm you are of legal drinking age where you live. Nothing here encourages excessive drinking; please drink responsibly.

The AI can be wrong

Do not rely on YoBebo for health or safety decisions. Label scanning and Bebo's answers are produced by an AI model and are frequently approximate and sometimes simply wrong. This includes alcohol content, allergens and sulfite information. If you have an allergy or sensitivity, or any other health reason to care what is in a drink, read the actual bottle and ask the producer. Never treat what this app tells you as authoritative.

Recommendations, scores and tasting notes are suggestions for your own enjoyment, not professional advice.

Your content is yours

Your tasting notes, photos and ratings remain yours. No ownership of them is claimed, and they are not used to train anyone's models. Permission is needed only to store and display them back to you, and to show them to people you deliberately share a link with.

Sharing

Share links are readable by anyone who has them. Only share what you are comfortable being read, and only share content you have the right to share. Links can be turned off at any time.

Fair use

Please do not try to break the service, work around its usage limits, use it to store anything unlawful, or automate large volumes of requests. The AI features have daily limits so the app can stay free for everyone; if you need more, you can add your own API key in Settings.

No warranty, and a real risk of data loss

YoBebo is provided as-is, with no warranty of any kind. It is actively being built. Bugs are possible and data loss is possible. Use Export regularly to keep your own backup — that is the only backup you truly control.

To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app, including lost data.

Ending it

You can stop using YoBebo at any time and ask for your data to be deleted. Access may be withdrawn from anyone abusing the service. The service itself may be discontinued — if that happens, reasonable notice will be given so you can Export.

Changes

These terms may change; the effective date above will change with them.
